021-Plume and the Pink Pandas

Sea lions, tigers, pandas and giraffes,
See all the bravest warriors bite the dust.
And still, the great ants and viruses
Seem to not have noticed all the fuss.

In your eyes, where did the woodland go?
The same place where the light has gone.
Hear the cries of crystal condor
Soaring where the night is long.
And a rose of diamonds
Grew where the light has gone.
Oh, bioluminescent carps
Dissolve where the night is long.

There was never a woodland that
Never ended, it’s easy to pretend.
There was never the most dazzling kingdom of species
To ever roam our crippled Earth . . .
We slammed the door on
the Creatures that didn’t want more than what they needed.

Ooh, Oh, oh
Where the light has gone.
Soon the pink pandas
Will climb to where the light has gone.
Then artificial plants
Will climb where the light has gone.
New kinds of birds
Will rule where the light has gone.
Plume (from old planet Earth)
Will shine where the light has gone.

Don’t let me stop you crawling
Walk straight into the burning
Black woods for the black and yellow
Don’t let me stop you falling

Don’t let me stop you learning
New birds, won’t do what you tell them.
Pink pandas show the grown-ups
Lost lands, they have no owners.

Forgive the elegant flaws of youth, like yunomi high-fired pottery, and dissect the records slowly maturing like Hibiki whisky.
